SmartProtect and AREFLH at the IHC
AREFLH presented SmartProtect EU project at the International Horticultural Congress (IHC) in Angers, France
AREFLH is a partner of the SmartProtect* EU project : SMART agriculture for innovative vegetable crop PROTECTion: harnessing advanced methodologies and technologies
From 14 to 20 August 2022, AREFLH was present at the International Horticultural Congress (IHC) as part of the SmartProtect project. The 31st edition of the IHC was held in Angers (France) bringing together more than 2,000 delegates of 100 nationalities and composing more than 25 thematic symposia. The congress was a real opportunity for exchanges, knowledge transfer, partnerships, business and dissemination of scientific and technological advances on an international scale. The themes addressed during the congress were as follows:
- Competitiveness of sectors and skills
- Food, health and well-being of citizens
- Sustainability of production systems
- Adaptation to climate change and mitigation of its effects
AREFLH actively participated in a presentation on topic related to alternative control methods, in which it presented an E-poster on SmartProtect: The platform of smart IPM techniques. In addition, AREFLH dedicated the exhibition stand to IPM techniques, several traps were displayed, such as: (Trapviwe, captrap and iscout) that the project's scientific partners are testing in the field. Participation in IHC means participating in the transition of horticulture “Le végétal pour un monde en transition”.
