AREFLH will be represented within the Expert Group on the European Food Security Crisis preparedness and response Mechanism.

 

It is Catherine Jacquin (COEXPHAL, Spain) and Wim Rodenburg (DPA, Netherlands) who will represent AREFLH within the expert group "Expert Group on the European Food Security Crisis preparedness and response Mechanism"of the European Commission. .

 

This group of experts is composed of various actors playing a direct role in ensuring European food safety, such as the authorities responsible for the agricultural, health, aquaculture and food safety sectors at national level. and subnational, as well as organizations considered interested parties by virtue of their activities related to the food supply chain (at any level).

 

The purpose of this expert group is to bring together interested parties to advise the European Commission services on how to strengthen the European food supply chain in the face of the threat of food crises.

 It will also serve to better coordinate relevant actions between Member States, third countries invited to participate, and the aforementioned interested parties.

 

The first meeting of the group took place on March 9, 2022.
